CT Hart Cheer is located at 215 Newfield Ave, Hartford, CT 06106. We provide instructional classes, performance team opportunities, and a variety of camps and clinics for athletes ages from 5 years old to adults of all abilities. CT Hart Cheer has options for all budgets and any time commitment.

Our classes help introduce and reinforce the skill sets needed to be a knowledgeable athlete in the sport of cheerleading, and our performance team gives athletes the opportunity to enjoy a fun and low commitment team that performs at various statewide events.

Meet Our Team

Alexis Safo-Agyeman (Owner)

Coach Alexis is from West Hartford, Connecticut and has been in the cheerleading community for over 13 years. Alexis is a former high school and colligate cheerleader at Eastern Connecticut State University and in 2009, she began her professional cheerleading career as the Assistant Varsity Coach at her alma mater Conard High School in West Hartford, CT. During her 7 years coaching at Conard High School Alexis, along with her coaching staff successfully competed in state wide competitions, and most notably placed second in the CCC West division conference championship five consecutive years in a row.

Danielle Simon (Coach)

Danielle Simon, Program Director brings a wealth of experience to CT HART CHEER. Danielle has cheered in high school, collegiate and all star programs. Danielle Simon most recently was the spirit coordinator at the University of Hartford overseeing their DI cheer and dance programs. Danielle was a coach at Hall High School from 2012-18. She led Hall to the 2016 co-ed state championship. Additionally, Simon served as the interim cheer coach at UConn from 2014-15. She has also served as a sales representative for Varsity Brands from 2015-2020.

Jason Zamorano (Coach)

Coach Jason has been coaching since 2019. As a former high school cheerleader he most notably graced the air as a flyer for Hall in 2016 when they brought home their first ever co-ed state championship. After graduating high school Coach Jason continued his cheerleading career at Airborne Elite on their open Co-Ed 4 team, taking home a coveted jacket at US Finals in Virginia Beach. Coach Jason began coaching at CT Hart Cheer in 2019 with our tiny novice team and now is the head coach of our level 1 Rising Stars. You can find Coach Jason tumbling, working his roundoff double back wherever there is a ground to tumble on or you might catch him keeping in tip touch shape running miles daily through the streets of West Hartford.

Erin Trotman (Head Tumbling Coach)

Coach Erin is our new tumbling coach. Erin comes with a resume of excellence and success that covers a background of gymnastics, all star cheerleading, and collegiate acrobatics and tumbling. Coach Erin is not only a phenomenal athlete and coach, but is an amazing person that helps foster the skill sets athletes need on and off the mat.

Cassie Martinez (Coach)

Cassie has coached with CT Hart Cheer since season one. As a former Hall high school and West Conn cheerleader, Cassie has cheered for 7 years and has coached both CT Hart Cheer's full year and half year programs for 4 years. Cassie comes to us with a successful competitive cheer background and is a great role model. She is currently attending CCSU as a nursing student!
